Start off the day right...

According to the Cook County Department of Public Health, studies show that children who eat breakfast perform better at school.  There is an increase in their math and reading scores as well as an improvement in their speed and memory in cognitive tests. Without breakfast, your child is not reaching his/her learning potential.  Often he/she has stomachaches, headaches, and fatigue.  Please make sure that your child has a healthy breakfast before coming to school.  Taking that extra time in the morning to eat gives your child a great start to his/her day.

School Guidelines for Sick Children

Please observe your child carefully each day before sending him/her to school. Do not send him/her if they have any signs of illness or infection. Never send your child if they were vomiting during the night or upon arising. After an illness, a child should be kept home until fully recovered,
has maintained a normal temperature for at least 24 hours and can take part in all activities.
Please review the Health and Safety
Information in your Handbook.
